NOCN forges new employer-led skills partnership in India
NOCN Group and the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) have joined forces on an exciting new partnership to deliver an ‘Internationally Certified Trainer Programme’ in India.
NOCN Group brings its extensive experience as a leading awarding body, apprenticeship assessment organisation and skills consultancy to the Indian market to boost skills development, productivity and social mobility.
The Government and private sector in India are undergoing rapid transformation when it comes to innovation, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and the rise of its ‘start-up culture’, and this has led to increased job creation. With the younger generation now constituting the largest segment of the working population, this demographic needs to be developed and channelled in a way that nurtures their energy and potential. Human Resources teams within organisations therefore need to be focussed on efficiency and productivity when it comes to training their trainers.
Trainers are key to driving this forward in every type of organisation and ISTD will build flexible employer-led programmes and qualifications for individuals, employers, employer groups and communities, helping Indian business to thrive and grow. NOCN Group will provide independent validation and endorsement for the programme as well as Quality Assurance standards and International Certification of the ISTD courses delivered.
The programme covers selected areas of Human Resource Development with special emphasis on:
- Training of trainers.
- Training goals and objectives.
- Training tools and technologies.
The Memorandum of Understanding ceremony will take place on Saturday 12 October 2019 in Delhi, India, where NOCN’s Managing Director Graham Hasting-Evans will join Dr Nataraj Ray, National President of the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), to officially launch the collaboration.
Graham said “NOCN has been designing and operating consistent and reliable vocational skills assessment tests and examinations for nearly 30 years. We are delighted to be able to support ISTD by quality assuring and providing international certification for their new courses.”
The ISTD was established in 1970 in New Delhi, India and is a national premier professional membership organisation. Its membership base comprises a combination of individuals and institutions involved in training and development of Human Resource
